At some point we should do something similar with Leith Rugby or Leith Athletic under 14s . Make it more Leith style though. Francis Begbie as special guest umpire or something similar.

Lots of cricket tomorrow. 1st XI away to Murrayfield DAFS CC 2nds 2nd XI (Invincible) away to Watsonian Cricket 4ths 3rd XI home* against Boroughmuir Cricket Club *When we say "home", we mean the Meadows. It's the cricket equivalent of kipping in a caravan after your missus throws you out.

Ahead of the 2nds game with Watsonian Cricket 4ths, here's a classic scorecard from 2016, in our last visit to Craiglockhart.

Authentic Meadows atmosphere v Boroughmuir Cricket Club . On one side are people playing competitive frisbee. On the other, a group playing Quidditch. Both groups look more fit and healthy than the cricketers.

3rd XI lost to Boroughmuir Cricket Club 2nds in an attritional game. Felt slightly bad. Gave all the leftover teas from the Meadows to the homeless guy outside Tesco in Picardy Place. Feel much better.

Seagulls would be the Leith Links equivalent...

The ESCA Braw Skelp finals day is this Sunday, featuring our friends from Morton Cricket Club Drummond Trinity Cricket club Penicuik CC and Marchmont Cricket Extremely disappointingly, there doesn't appear to be a Mascot Derby as part of the festivities. #cricket
