We had a blast celebrating James Whitcomb Riley School 43 scholars and their achievements from the 23-24 SY at our first B.A.G awards! We celebrated perfect attendance, attendance goals met, ILEARN and IREAD success, and impeccable behavior! We celebrated 150+ scholars!! 🎉 #JoyandExcellence Go 🐝!

We just had our 1st full week with our IPS students. They are baaaack!!! It’s been busy and amazing & I haven’t had the time to post. Here is a bit of catch up with some highlights. Headlines- it’s great to be back around our kids & this has been the best start of the yr!

I’m not the only one so excited to be back to school and with our IPS students. Our administrators are all smiles while running around doing all the things ensuring this school yr will be the #BestYearEver!

Principal Billups thought about, and almost touched, the Arlington Middle School chickens 😂 This yr our STEM students will be building a coop! 🐔 🐓

The work our partners from Skinny Dog Graphics has done looks so amazing! Our schools have gotten a facelift! Look how great the front doors and main office desk look James A. Garfield School 31!

We are so thankful to the IPS community. The capital referendum dollars are being put to great use. Huge projects are underway in and out of our buildings. HVAC, wiring, STEM rooms, parking lots, athletic fields, and more, are all underway. Our students deserve this!

We are so excited to have a massive expansion of PreK this year IPS! Our youngest students have started school and are learning, playing & socializing. We know this strong start will give them the skills needed to allow them to enter kindergarten prepared.

This year we have expanded our programs IPS to allow access for more students. Look at these Eleanor Skillen 34 students accessing Montessori materials & activities in the first week. Their hands and brains are hard at work!

First full week of the school year at Northwest Middle School was filled with fall sports tryouts, Camptown team building activities, new math curriculum internalization and walkthroughs & student created PBIS poster displays!

This year #RebuildingStronger has allowed all of our IPS students in 6-8th gr to get a middle school experience. H. W. Longfellow Middle School is now an #InternationalBaccalaureate school and will serve Ss in 6th gr too. It was great to see Ss learning routines, and their teachers, wk1.

When you walk into a room with a master teacher, you immediately know. Ms. Rhodes James A. Garfield School 31 is kind, has immediately built relationships with her students and amongst them, and can run a master class in routines and procedures.

Kicking off the weekend volunteering at the Drum Corps International All-Age 2024 World Championship Lucas Oil Stadium where our IPS marching band was performing.

The bands at the DCI All-Age World Champions are amazing! It was like listening to Olympic level marching bands.

What a morning! I attended the Crispus Attucks High School Alumni Jazz Brunch & met the oldest known alumnus, 103-year-old Mrs. Pryor-McGuire. An absolute honor to meet & talk w/her. She led the whole room in the School Song. Just doesn’t get any better than that! #TigerPride #IPSProud 💚💛
