Last year I visited Katwe, Karamoja village for my first time. Looking at the situation there, my heart was burdened Wishing I'd change their world. But I'm only a girl, with no capacity to do anything significant to change their lives or their situation.

Thinking more about it, I noticed I didn't have to change their whole lives, just extending an act of kindness alone would mean something. Thus, I started the #SmallActBigSmile campaign together with my friends, were we collected different items to donate to the community.

On the 16th Nov. 2024, we had the first outreach to this community were we had almost 200 children and teenage mothers at St. Charles Lwanga Primary School where we shared the items that had been collected. #SmallActBigSmile

And this September, we visit St. Charles Lwanga Primary School in Katwe to provide scholastic materials & hygiene products to support the young learners in their education. We are inviting you to join us, let's support with donations for this cause. #SmallActBigSmile

Having conversations with the stuff at the school, they emphasized the need of mindset change. Most people in the community believe in taking their children to beg on streets as opposed to taking them to schools. So we thought, what about we support the children in school.

And this year we are having the second edition of #SmallActBigSmile Campaign with the Theme #EducateaChild, we are collecting scholastic materials that'll be donated to the pupils at St Charles Lwanga P/S. We did it last year with your support and we can do it again!
