The climate crisis is deepening inequalities & people with disabilities are among the first to be impacted, yet the last to be heard. From inaccessible emergency systems to being excluded from policy planning and funding, their needs are routinely overlooked in climate response.

Systemic barriers are the invisible walls built into our laws, institutions, and cultures — blocking certain people from access, equality, and dignity. For people affected by leprosy, these barriers show up as ignorance, exclusion, and a lack of political will.
