✨ MEET THE TEAM ✨ Lewis Williams will be joining our team in September to do a PhD at Swansea University on shark phylogenetics, co-supervised by Will Allen and D. Silvestro. He's interested in data science & machine learning, & also loves playing music, rock climbing & mountain biking


Day 4 UoB Palaeobiology Iberian Chains fieldtrip we studied sediments, taphonomy, ecology of Las Hoyas lagerstatte and visited Cuenca Palaeontological Museum. Special thanks to Jesus Marugan-Lobon and Hugo Martin-Abad, Y4 students Kacper, Lewis, Felix + @Conodontoman and Macroevolution and Functional morphology

Lewis Williams began his PhD in October with Catalina Pimiento and is already presenting results on elasmobranch functional traits!



Today, I passed my PhD viva. I am now (unofficially) Dr Cooper! 📜🦈 Huge thanks to chair Will Allen & my examiners @CindyFroyd + Alex Dunhill for making it such a pleasant experience. And my biggest gratitude to Catalina Pimiento, John Griffin & fsbi for all their support! #PhDone 🦈
