P4 schools are full of “mid-major” players, that were initially overlooked, because most “coaches” don’t know how to evaluate. To busy listening to scouting services. Now the P4 schools are poaching all the mid-major schools. Basically using the NCAA season as an AAU Live Period!

The situation with LBJ/SAS, was the worst thing that could have happened as we approach spring/summer ball. Now every parent, will feel/think they have the right to step to or approach, scouts/evaluators/even coaches, who give an “honest opinion”, about their child. #Entitlement

A lot of things can be true about this season for the UofL men’s team. Pat Kelsey can coach. Hell of a season, after the 2 we just had. Yes, it was a bad tournament seed. Yes it was a down year in the ACC. Is UofL Men’s basketball back? Only time will tell!

Kennedy Lee Kennedy Lee✨ will be entering the transfer portal. A traditional/stretch 4 who can score inside/shoot the 3. Solid post defender with the ability to switch out on the perimeter. A valuable asset on both ends of the court. And a great student! youtu.be/VN63-EUWR8g

💰 or Minutes? That’s a decision 60-70% of players have to decide. Only 30-40% get both. Most don’t realize they’re getting 💰 to be a practice player. Unless you have a very strong financial plan, the 💰 won’t last. If you want the opportunity to be a pro, u need numbers/film!

A lot of these AAU “travel” teams, shouldn’t travel outside the city limits, let alone the state lines. I’ve learned to understand the argument of it being an “experience”. Yeah up to 13/14u. After that, it’s business. And a lot of parents, are making bad business decisions.

Basketball and soccer are literally the 2 most competitive and popular sports, worldwide. U.S kids must realize, they are competing for college/professional spots, with players from all over the globe. You cannot be average, and expect to be successful!

When it comes to youth/high school/ college sports, it’s almost always “the parents”. Quit ruining these kids careers, before they even start!

🏀 is truly bad at the youth level. Lack of player development/bad coaching. Go back to 1 Elementary, 1 MS team. At the HS level, hire someone with basketball background/knowledge, if possible. And every “travel” team, ain’t a “travel” team. To many band kids playing 🏀.

Unpopular opinion/Hot take: there are coaches out here who don’t play players, who can help them win. Whether it’s politics or personal reasons, it happens. Especially on the HS level. Booster club, parental influence, etc., factors in who starts, plays and how many minutes. IJS
