A new NHS service, MinderCare, which uses smart devices to help people with dementia live well at home for longer, has just launched. With UK Dementia Research Institute, we're funding a first-in-class gene therapy targeting a root cause of motor neuron disease: gene errors caused by TDP-43 dysfunction. This new treatment aims to correct faulty gene messages and deliver long-lasting treatment in a single dose.
