This morning, we attended the planting of an English Oak tree in remembrance of 80 years since the end of WWII in The Countess of Chester Country Park. As part of the The Mersey Forest #Oaksat80 project, we were proud to donate the English Oak tree and a memorial plaque. 🌳

🍃 Winter Woodland Work at Chew Valley Lake Memorial Forest 🌳 This winter, we've been removing dead and damaged ash trees with our partners at Bristol Water helping to restore and strengthen the woodland. While some trees have been removed, we will be planting new memorial

Today, the team is busy coppicing hazel trees at Torside, helping to enhance habitats and promote a healthier woodland ecosystem! 💚

🌿 Signs of spring at Torside Memorial Forest! 🌿 Delicate snowdrops are emerging across the woodland floor—a beautiful reminder of nature’s renewal. Creating light through careful woodland management has helped ground flora flourish. A sure sign that spring is on its way! 🌱

Last week we spotted a Buff-Tailed Bumblebee (Bombus terrestris) resting in the sunshine on a memorial plaque in our woodland at Dove Stone Reservoir. A beautiful reminder that #spring has arrived! Have you spotted any bumblebees yet? 🐝✨
