Last week we had a fantastic day with Somercotes Academy . Students studying triple science attended one of our schools workshops to learn about how we monitor water quality using aquatic invertebrates. The students were able to evidence that the #chalkstream was in good health!

Great day on Saturday delivering @riverflies training to 13 amazing new volunteers. Big thanks to Sally Hyslop from @doncatchmentRT for helping train our Monitoring Officer! Thanks to funding from Anglian Water through their #GetRiverPositive scheme. 🦟🐚💧🔎🔬

It's working on the Waring! Volunteers did an excellent job of pulling remaining himalayan balsam at a site in West Ashby. The joint effort of contractor work and #volunteers is really making an impact along this #chalkstream Contract work funded by partners at the Environment Agency

We are always glad to engage with local businesses to help raise awareness of life in our chalk streams. Employees from Micronclean in #louth were shown a sample from a #chalkstream and then compared it with a sample from their pond on site. Both habitats looking healthy!
