Great work yesterday on the beautiful Great Eau with Aby Fly Fishing group and our wonderful volunteers. Ensuring that the #chalkstream was flowing and transplanting some essential water crowfoot into a straightened section. Amazing. :)

Last week we had a fantastic day with Somercotes Academy . Students studying triple science attended one of our schools workshops to learn about how we monitor water quality using aquatic invertebrates. The students were able to evidence that the #chalkstream was in good health!

On Sunday, thanks to funding from @anglianwater #getriverpositive fund, our more experienced @riverflies volunteers were trained on Extended Riverfly by expert Arron Watson. The scheme delves deeper into invertebrate ID and will start to give info on sediment and flow changes.

It's working on the Waring! Volunteers did an excellent job of pulling remaining himalayan balsam at a site in West Ashby. The joint effort of contractor work and #volunteers is really making an impact along this #chalkstream Contract work funded by partners at the Environment Agency

Another great day with our Chalk Streams Conservation Group. We were out on the beautiful River Bain #chalkstream managing growth on the banks to balance light and shade reinforcing the banks in places using willow we took out and an old Christmas tree! Fantastic work everyone!!

We are always glad to engage with local businesses to help raise awareness of life in our chalk streams. Employees from Micronclean in #louth were shown a sample from a #chalkstream and then compared it with a sample from their pond on site. Both habitats looking healthy!
