On my first day as Governor, I rescinded E-Verify in Rhode Island. E-Verify is regulation at its worst. It is not the Federal Government's job to stop businesses from hiring people who want to work. Libertarians want an America open for business and labor.

As President, I will never publicly humiliate a Congressman for standing on principle. Donald J. Trump was wrong to nastily attack Thomas Massie. Trump's disgracing himself on Twitter. No member of Congress should ever be treated like this again.

As a new Libertarian I entered their presidential nomination race. But being new to the party, 2020 just isn't the year for me to top the ticket. I'll continue to advocate for peace, deficit reduction, and the Libertarian Party. Thank you to all of my supporters.

As Governor I fought for gay marriage and am proud to have won that fight. Today the war for civil rights won another battle in our courts. Thank you to the justices who guaranteed employment protection for the LGBT community. There are more battles, but pride is winning.
