Menopause will impact 51% of the population, 48 symptoms experienced differently and uniquely that can result in significant lifestyle changes. Not always for the positive. It is a public health issue and leaders have a responsibility to respond.

I wonder how many leaders involved in adult social care in England - in govt, councils, voluntary or private providers, or their trade bodies - are familiar with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, or the history of the independent living movement?

Given how difficult it can be to access and navigate timely mental health support in these times, experiencing these additional and significant barriers reflects a deeper lack of humanity, equity and justice
