Such a great morning with the USC URM students doing ultrasound guided biopsies with the King of ultrasound Dr Ed Grant #findtheolive Radiology of USC Keck School of Medicine of USC

Cancer detection with CEM is nearly the same as for full protocol MRI, with fewer false positives. In our 2019 study UPMC Radiology, of 110 cancers, 102 (93%) seen with MRI, 100 (91%) with CEM, and 101 (92%) with MBI. CEM has only improved since then, better tolerated than MRI.

Dr. Jamlik-Omari Johnson, MD (Jamlik-Omari Johnson MD FASER) appointed Chair of the Department of Radiology and inaugural holder of the Stewart Dale Fordham Chair in Radiology Keck School of Medicine of USC. 👏👏♥️✌️ #Radiology #AcademicRadiology #HealthEquity #Leadership #FightOn

Women prefer contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) to MRI, particularly if claustrophobic. Thank you The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Lane Bryant for your support of this research. Time to make this more available as a screening option, esp. in dense breasts. @DenseBreastinfo authors.elsevier.com/a/1hYqv5VZMrGq…

Is a mammogram enough? Invasive cancers, esp. Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance, often missed. Women with dense breasts, esp. if other risk factors, should consider MRI (or ultrasound if MRI not possible). #WorldDenseBreastDay DenseBreast-Info.org densebreast-info.org/patient-faqs/i…

Our Breast and Breast/Body Fellows had an AMAZING hands-on US workshop with Mary Yamashita today! Such an important skill for our fellows to learn. Thank you Dr. Yamashita!
