yes. The research shows that there are no differences in reading skills, brain imagining, etc. between dyslexics (IQ reading discrepant) and poor readers.

I agree that we should use the term dyslexia and it should refer to reading difficulties at the word level. The way listening "comprehension" is measured is that it is a memory task. One may comprehend but not remember.

It is not clear why they conclude poor readers are on a continuum and dyslexia represents a distinct distribution. How did they define these groups. Most of my colleagues would define dyslexia as poor reading so it is not clear what the difference is.

Absolutely. The studies of intervention show that appropriate intervention is equally effective for "dyslexics" and "poor readers."
