Excited to present at the #PedSleepMedConf with Lindsay Stager, PhD! Hunger & desire to eat in adolescent males & females are differently impacted by sleep. Improving our understanding of these relationships allows for more individualized interventions for teen weight/sleep behaviors.

Teens with elevated adiposity are more vulnerable to impaired cognition after short sleep than those with lower adiposity. After just one night of short sleep, cognition scores decreased by ~0.35-0.53 SD in those with higher adiposity. ja.ma/3URWAAX
