TABLE QUIZ: In preparation for the Solstice in Knockroe on December the 21st, The Lingaun Valley Tourism group will hold a Table Quiz in Powers of Tullahought on this Wednesday 4th December at 8pm. Table of four €20 and all welcome.

Solstice  Day takes place at the Knockroe (Coshel) on Sat. 21st at 8.40am, it closes with the evening one at 3.40pm. Visitors are requested to leave an additional 20 minutes to arrive on time, are invited to join the guided tours and avail of refreshments in the local villages

It was a busy Lá Fhéile Padraig on the double when Lingaun Valley Tourism had two floats at the parade in Carraig na Súire and one each in Cill Chainnigh agus Cluain Meala. They also distributed info on the history, heritage laden route from Slieve na mban to the River Suir.

Lingaun Valley villages Grangemockler, Tullahought were amongst the recipients at the South Eastern Region Tidy Towns Regional Awards ceremony hosted by Emily Tidy Towns. The awards were presented by Junior Minister for Marine, Fisheries Timmy Dooley, Yvonne O'Brien Supervalu

A fine crowd turned out, from near and far on a perfect day for the Bank Holiday Lingaun Valley Car Treasure Hunt. Starting in Tullahought it travelled to Skough, Faugheen, Ahenny, the Slatequarries and back. Thanks to all who participated, the organisors, caterers and sponsors.
