Russia has become very enthusiastic, saying that ā€œthe process is moving in the right direction,ā€ and even has been praised for making a ā€˜huge concession’ not to occupy all of Ukraine. What’s going on?

The #EU has no comfort to observe the options for #Ukraine's capitulation. It is time to take the initiative. We must accelerate the process of Ukraine's integration into the EU. ā€˜Coalition of the Willing" must move from promises to deeds. some presence in Ukraine is a must.

If someone believes that Putin is very generous when announcing the ceasefire for his sacred Victory day, it's not true. He is simply afraid, that Ukrainians could spoil festivities. He is afraid!

The US has raised many expectations in Ukraine and has finally realized that the biggest obstacle to achieving peace is Russia, which is hopelessly stuck and only pretends to be able to win. A US withdrawal now would freeze the stalemate. Only tough sanctions on Russia can help.

#US and #Ukraine signed long- awaited minerals deal. Good step towards positive. But it can’t replace significance and political importance of broken Budapest memorandum, itā€˜s by far not a peace deal. #Russia tonight continued to bomb civilians in Odesa.

Putin doesn't need peace - just a short truce to celebrate the victory 80 y ago that he didn’t deserve. Guests also not needed but he needs a 'human shield' to protect himself. A feast during the plague. A parade during the war. On the bones of those being killed for no reason.

Linas Linkevicius (@linkeviciusl) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Putin's mood has been completely ruined. Panic over parade security is not the end of it. Now Trump has declared that the US did "much more" than its allies to secure victory in WWII. A painful blow to Putin's long-standing cult of victory. What is there to celebrate?

Hello #Ukraine. Honour and pleasure to come back. Rushing to the Kyiv Security Forum to meet with friends, with allies and discuss why we are unable to defeat the neo-Nazi hydra reborn in the Kremlin and poisoning everyone's lives.

We celebrate 80 y of the Victory in the WWII in Kyiv, because Ukraine then paid the biggest price. Today is again paying the biggest price for European freedom. Therefore we celebrate here Europe Day- 75 y of Schuman Declaration based on two core principles- peace and solidarity

Parade in Moscow was not just for the victory 80 y ago. It was to honor the participants of Putin's mystical special operation, to present them as followers of the fight against the Nazis. Those from the EU who participated made a fatal choice- wrong union and wrong morality.

Putin's offer to negotiate directly with Ukraine 'without preconditions' is another 'tried and tested' way to reject the ceasefire demanded by the West. Russia will keep repeating its nonsense about ā€˜root cause’ of the war. But the only 'root cause' is their own sick thinking.

Linas Linkevicius (@linkeviciusl) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The ultimatum and demand for a ceasefire was ignored. If Russia won't get promised ā€œmassive sanctions,ā€ it will continue its ā€˜smoke screen’ - staged talks, go on with methodical killings, prepare for a summer military campaign. Western inaction will only strengthen the aggressor.

#Serbia's Vučić, after attending a neo-Nazi parade in Moscow, said he would like to accelerate his country's accession to the #EU. It seems that he has greatly confused the alliances and even more confused the moral compass.

Putin, as usual, trying to be impudent. Being scared to go to Turkey is not surprising, but downgrading his delegation to the level of vice ministers shows that he spits on all the efforts of Trump and the Europeans. Nothing will work for him - only pressure and sanctions.

Linas Linkevicius (@linkeviciusl) 's Twitter Profile Photo

After the first round of ā€˜negotiations’, it should be clear to everyone. Russia, with its absurd demands and delusions about the ā€˜root cause’ of the war, has spread a smokescreen to continue its war crimes. We will become indirect accomplices if we do not severely punish them.

Linas Linkevicius (@linkeviciusl) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Putin thinks everyone in the West is stupid, so he leads them by the nose. He's always been successful so far. What about this time? He said he’s not happy being pressured or coerced. But it's certainly not our job to make him happy.

Linas Linkevicius (@linkeviciusl) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Putin is happy after his conversation with Trump because he was allowed to continue throwing dust in the eyes. His "readiness for negotiations" is a bluff. Repeating unworkable conditions is not negotiations. Is there not enough will now for the promised significant sanctions?

Linas Linkevicius (@linkeviciusl) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Europe must stop looking at the so-called ā€˜peace process’, which is in reality a stalling move. Stop looking at the US and take decisive sanctions on Russia in the areas of finance, shadow fleet, energy, increasing military aid to Ukraine and forming security deterrence forces.

Putin doubts legality of Ukrainian president? The country where no one remembers what free elections are, where the constitution is 'rewritten' according to the whims of one person, dares to question the laws of a democratic country? His biggest fear and obstacle is Zelensky!
