The second phase of the Swimming Pool Support Fund is now open to applications from local authorities with pools in their area 📣 This phase sees £40m of Department for Culture, Media and Sport funding being made available to invest in improving energy efficiency, plus £20m of The National Lottery funding, bringing the total

We’re extending our Place Partnerships work to help more people to be physically active by breaking down barriers. We were delighted to be in Canvey Island alongside ActiveEssex, where we spoke with Lisa Dodd-Mayne, Stuart Andrew, Tim Hollingsworth & Jason Fergus 🗣️

Our Director of Place, Lisa Dodd-Mayne, visited our place partner Southall to see their social movement, "Let's Go Southall" in action. Cycling programmes, seated exercise classes and dholki and bhangra sessions are just some activities being delivered by and for the community.

More than 300 swimming pools and leisure centres in England have received grants to help boost their energy efficiency and keep running costs down. Phase II of the fund sees £60.5m of Department for Culture, Media and Sport & The National Lottery funding split between 325 pools in more than 260 local authorities. Read more:
