Mark Guest Using LittleGermanyAction as cover image is appropriate, it epitomises Bradford. A stunning area struggling to find its new raison d'être. Dave West tried for decades to revitalise the area, urban village tag was great, but there are too few owner occupiers & few creative industries

David Pendleton LittleGermanyAction It’s out on a limb now , needs a few bars\restaurants to bring people in

Mark Guest LittleGermanyAction It had a vibe when Little Germany Festival happened and Treadwells opened. It needed supporting but Nick Treadwell was refused a grant by the council to stay open as he got art mill on its feet. The festival became Bradford Festival and council adopted West End as cultural hub.

David Pendleton LittleGermanyAction Thanks I’ll take a look , is my memory playing tricks on me but when the LG festival was on wasn’t there a bar on peckover st on right hand side as you approached from Church Bank

Mark Guest LittleGermanyAction Yes, the Peckover Club I think it was called. I remember going in there when I worked at Albion House, early 1980s.

David Pendleton LittleGermanyAction Phew thought it was me , especially when other people I mentioned it to didn’t remember it
