This insane epithelioid hemangioendothelioma arose in the neck and has a lymphoid cuff - both of which mimic epithelioid hemangioma. CAMTA is confirmatory. Note the intracytoplasmic lumen with an erythrocyte (arrow).

This case shows an abrupt transition between epidermoid metaplasia (with a granular layer) and normal esophageal squamous mucosa. The same patient had low-grade squamous dysplasia. Singhi AD, et al. PMID: 28731047.

Gastric adenocarcinoma proximal polyposis syndrome (GAPPS), a variant of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), established in 2016. The APC gene is large; sequencing techniques had to advance to find the mutation! There were many fundic gland polyps and foveolar adenomas.

These images are from an ulcerated reactive duodenal pseudopolyp (ulcer not shown). Curiously, the patient had an orthopedic procedure not long before this sample was obtained. There are multiple foci of hydrophilic polymer in blood vessels within the process. PMID: 27819873.

This malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) has rhabdomyoblastic differentiation. Such sarcomas have been termed malignant triton tumors. The malignant cells proliferate just beneath endothelial cells and that focal rhabdomyoblastic cells are apparent on H&E.
