My very wonderful dog, Colin Stevens was euthanised yesterday after a short illness. Here he is at his goodbye BBQ on the weekend, eating a steak, surrounded by the humans he’s loved in the very brief 18months he’s been with us since we rescued him. ❤️

I can’t stop thinking about how the divorce rate for men leaving their really sick wives is so high that nurses are taught to warn women patients when they get diagnosed with a serious illness

Tube on strike, I dawdled to Paddington on Friday. Passing the old wrought iron sign for Pizza Express, I was reminded of an event 30+ years ago, when I got caught up in a drama that resulted in a divorce, two marriages and many changed lives. It began with a heart attack 🧵

I am on holiday, I asked at the bar for a large vodka. I think they’ve given me a pint of vodka. I’m happy and scared and definitely drinking it.

If I were advising the UK Prime Minister, I would tell them to make a televised statement to the nation tonight (or very soon) along the following lines: 1. We are in an energy crisis. This crisis is having a dreadful effect on everyone’s finances. And it is going to get worse.

Email this morning from a grassroots music venue who received their new energy quote yesterday. Previous bill: £10,000. New Bill: £144,000. They are handing the keys back to the landlord. Today. Rt Hon Nadine Dorries

Just got off the phone with my GP’s pharmacist who’s called me every couple of weeks since my Dr prescribed my new mental health meds. They’ve been working with me to get the dosage right, listening to me at every step. It’s been so helpful. Big up our NHS ❤️

When you ask a mate if they could do you a massive favour and they reply with ‘I’d be honoured to help’ you know you got yourself some elite friends ❤️

Urgh what is this foul chesty cough and cold? Back to school germs hit differently. Ordered a medicinal desi breakfast and it didn’t arrive so now I’ve got a cough AND the hump.

Totally agree. If you hear me say ‘my back is sore today’ what I really mean is ‘I’m in more pain than I could ever articulate and that you could ever imagine’. Solidarity my chronic pain crew. X

To my friends in the media: This is a time of high drama, I agree. But while you gossip endlesly about who's in and who's out, you have almost entirely ignored the Public Order Bill that was passed in the Commons this week: the most draconian legislation of the modern era.
