A wind-driven wildfire is currently (21/06/2024) raging in Achaia region, NW Peloponnese with large rates of spread due to the prevailing hot-dry-windy conditions.

The Croatian Dalmatian Coast is currently experiencing several wildfires, as seen by #MTGI1's FCI instrument here. The fires and resulting smoke are visible from #space between 08:40 - 16:50 UTC on 31 July, particularly in the Makarska region (centre). 🔥🛰️
