It is disturbing that the vast majority of talk about Sacred Scripture and the Catechism these days is about attempts to refute what they teach. They should be reforming us, not vice versa. As disciples we need to drink deeply, lovingly, and obediently of the Word of God.

God chose to enter into our human history the most difficult way possible: the cross. This way, no one could ever be so desperate and not to be able to find Him, even in the midst of anguish and abandonment. God arrived in the very place we didn't think He could be.

Bishop Lobsinger hosted a BBQ at his residence for seminarians and men discerning the priesthood. Dcn. William Meehan (centre) was ordained on July 5th to the transitional diaconate by Bishop Crosby in Rome and will be returning to Rome to complete his studies for the priesthood.

The Young Adults Night in August was held at St. Mary of the Visitation Hespeler. There were attendees from the parish as well as parishes in Hamilton, Brantford, Oakville and Guelph. Brother Dan Leckman S.J. gave an inspiring vocation testimony about religious life and humility.
