Devastating to hear the targeted attack and violence by an individual impersonating law enforcement that killed Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark early this morning. State Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were also shot multiple times and are alive. 1/

Speaker of the House Melissa Hortman served Minnesota with such a lucid sense of morality and diligence. She deserved gratitude, grace, and challenge (as all politicians do). My heart is broken. I have no words. Rep. Hortman deserved more than this. Sending love to her family.
