📺 @angelarayner said this week that anyone living in an unsafe home was one person too many. But her government continues to rule many thousands of innocent leaseholders out of any help to fix fire safety defects. BBC Breakfast Tarah Welsh reports 👇 youtu.be/-olrOnIoivs

📺 Matt Allwright 🗨️ "You can get people stuck in a flat that they cannot afford, trying to pay these increasing bills and not being able to sell their property"

👀 The Public Accounts Committee report has just been published. 💥 "Govt plans fail to measure" "Unfortunately, we are united with campaigners in deeply regrettable scepticism that current remediation plans are capable of delivering on what’s promised." committees.parliament.uk/committee/127/…

🔴 We strongly welcome the Public Accounts Committee Report on Remediation of Dangerous Cladding. We thank the Public Accounts Committee Chair & members for shining a light on the Govt's failure to tackle this crisis. Our statement 👇 Angela Rayner Alex Norris MP endourcladdingscandal.org/posts/our-stat…

❗In its manifesto The Labour Party pledged to “take decisive action to improve building safety” and “put a renewed focus on ensuring those responsible for the building safety crisis pay to put it right”. ❌ Now @angelarayner chooses to protect developers 👇 thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Keir Starmer Angela Rayner A safe and secure home is still a distant dream for hundreds of thousands of innocent leaseholders across the country. We're still waiting for change. Pity you forgot about our plight in last year's King's Speech after all your support in opposition. x.com/BBCPolitics/st…

Tune in to the next Housing, Communities & Local Government Committee session for its Inquiry into Grenfell and Building Safety on Tuesday. Alex Norris and senior Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov officials will be giving evidence. Will they just repeat the same tired lines? Will we ever see meaningful change? committees.parliament.uk/event/23817/fo…

abi.org.uk/news/news-arti… It's the usual self-congratulatory warm words from British Insurance Brokers' Association Graeme Trudgill Hannah Gurga with a pretence that they care about innocent leaseholders when their focus is and will always be on ways they can continue to profit from our misery.

If a building is in the Developer Contract, you'd think the developer is obliged to pay for a waking watch / alarm if their assessments say interim measures are needed. Nope. Leaseholders are still forced to pay for the useless waking watch 👇🏼 This is "justice" the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov way.

📢 Govt has responded to the Public Accounts Committee's report into The Remediation of Dangerous Cladding 👇🏼 gov.uk/government/pub… Sadly, it seems the pattern of misleading statements and denial of reality only continues under The Labour Party Change? What change?
