We are detecting some shear just outside our area near the western border of Hunterdon County. A tornado warning just issued. Now…it is outside the CBS2 viewing area BUT it sure is close. We are monitoring everything.

Typically, by their very nature, tornado warnings can be relatively short lived. Im happy to report the tornado warning on the western border of Hunterdon county has expired. Talk about “short lived”! It was only in effect for about 5 minutes. We’ll take it.

I am with my family in Italy (Lake Como) but I’m always watching the skies. Mother Nature has been putting on a NON-STOP electrical display for over an hour now. Cool stuff.

I stayed up as long as I could watching lightning flash over the mountains surrounding lake Como. I’ve never seen anything like it. I witnessed 4 consecutive hours of lightning flashes. At one point, I counted the longest pause between flashes…it was only 4 seconds. Wow…WOW!

Just a girl and her dog. Savy and Rio are inseparable. He is the first one (before me😊) that she runs to greet as soon as she gets home.

This is interstate 95 in Connecticut. It’s not a good sign when you see leaves starting to turn color in mid August. This is not normal and is due to stress caused by our lack of rain. Our next measurable rain chance will be late Sunday into Tuesday.

Looking off to the west, You can see the end of the front. Clear skies ahead but chillier temps and…blustery. Here comes autumn!

Out the passenger side window…the composition may not be great, but the view sure is. Saturday was one gorgeous autumn day.

This is February at my house???

Winter is alive and well at Jay Peak, Vermont. WHAT A MOUNTAIN! I just spent 4 awesome, powder filled days there. Did I bring the snow back to NYC with me? Don’t be upset with me but…Looks like tonight is our best chance so far this winter.

3.5” in Westport, CT as of 2:30am. Still snowing nicely at the moment. Definitely NOT a light, fluffy snow. This is heavy and wet. The type of snow that gets referred to as “heart attack snow”. Take your time if you go out to shovel this stuff. It is heavy.

Getting ready for the holiday.

He just gets bigger and bigger! Rio is now 3 yrs old & 80 lbs. Last night we arrived home from vacation, it was like Christmas morning for Rio. Needless to say he is a “BIG” part of our lives. Now I’m off to CBS to figure out our weather. Last week it was hotter in NYC than Aruba

A wet Saturday doesn’t have to ruin the day. We have been non-stop! The Cystic Fibrosis walk this morning, lunch at Sardi’s and now…the Helen Hayes Theater. Getting ready to watch our friend, Scott Foley, in “The Thanksgiving Play”. Break a leg my friend. Better weather Sunday!
