Thank you McKnight's LTC News for helping to amplify our recent CNA survey! With nearly 3,000 responding, any LTC professsionals who care about staffing should read it. These results will help inform our developing stance on staffing mandates. mcknights.com/news/major-nur…

It’s time for someone to pay attention to what the actual caregivers have to say about it. My comments on the leaked study in the link. myemail.constantcontact.com/NAHCA-s-Statem…

Thx @MountcastleRick for your clear description of the present situation. I’ll go one step further, the literature would suggest that 0.55 HPRD of RN time is a/w greater mortality than 0.75 HPRD…hence, even “survival” is not the endpoint.

We agree. It is grotesque to argue that nursing homes should be allowed to take in residents when they cannot meet their basic needs or treat them with an iota of dignity. It’s not a warehouse for vulnerable older adults & disabled people!! #Shameless

Thank you McKnight's LTC News for the coverage! I do wish the headline wasn’t so inflammatory! We are not critics—we are the largest contingent of the workforce & work closest to the residents.

I urge anyone concerned or interested in the recent staffing proposed rule to read and share this op-ed. thehill.com/opinion/health…

20 minutes into the Presidential debate. I will categorically state, as a geriatrician who has cared for many cognitively impaired older adults, that neither candidate has dementia. Americans should focus on policy differences, not age, in deciding who to vote for.

Holy shit, this “American girl” ad from The Seneca Project is amazing!!! Hard to see the letters I’m typing through the tears streaming down my face though.
