And the Group met Malaria Consortium, who updated Members on their extensive work in Ethiopia, including on advancing #podoconiosis prevention and control, and on strengthening the malaria and NTD agenda in Ethiopia, working in collaboration with development partners



The Group visited Gelan Health Centre with The Global Fund to understand #malaria case management and treatment protocol, outpatient registration, laboratory department functionality, and drug dispensaries. Gelan, on the outskirts of Addis Ababa, is starting to see more malaria cases


Finally, the Group visited the impressive Africa CDC, a continental autonomous health agency of African Union, to learn about their work in strengthening the capacity of Member States to respond quickly and effectively to emerging disease threats
