Grail Seeker is unders for the Proisir IMO, last year she was closer and smoking the line with much more conviction before her fresh G1s. Stablemate Tomodachi giving me those vibes this year, looks bright as anything. 8s not 30s this time though, sigh. TAB NZ Auckland Thoroughbred Racing

Atrocious human video refereeing and interference seems to be an incurable epidemic across sport currently. I suspect if global sports fans as a collective were given a vote on if we just live and die by the on field adjudicators decisions, the hypothetical bill would pass.

Heard some good debate around big Leicester back with ABs this week. For me it’s pretty simple. With the context of this spluttering backline, his upside far outweighs the risk of him not being up to speed. Wears 23 and it’ll be obvious where he needs to go at the 55 minute mark.

This is a doozy, Clips in a loooot of trouble. I wonder how many of the other 29 owners just spent a little longer starting off their yacht decks when they heard about this today. Question will be whether the league wants to get feral and start asking some very hard questions.

The pack is going to give the ABs every possible. Jordie has a massive job straightening the attack and I think we’ll find out on Proctor one way or another. Rieko’s wing terrifying under the high ball and defensively, can see DMac involved treacherously early. An epic incoming.

Group One eve for the NZ gallops season is always an emotional time. Ellerslie with the rights is a bit different (but shhh kind of feels right). Pretty sure Nabba can be positive on La Crique, sit in the first handful and out sprint EV home. Tomadachi flashing, just too late.

Oh my god. Not the video officials this time but the on field umps absolutely ruining a game of sport in the Lions Cats footy right now. That is pathetic officiating, the total opposite of their M.O. Whoever blew those frees should be lucky to get another finals game.

Well.. nearly! Great positive ride by Nabba, did everything but. Tomadachi ran to trial form and a G1 winner in waiting. This race can throw a big price winner tbf. The mare is class too, nice to have her back in NZ in lieu of Damask Rose. We live to punt another group one.

$3.20 for the 1000 Gs - gee that’s not a lot of meat on the bone?? A special turn of foot which wins races at Riccarton, but a get back filly, two months away, there’s a lot of water to go under the bridge. 26s about Queen’s Evidence half enticing.

How I’d seed today’s runners at their current prices for the G1 mile at Te Rapa. Quietly shocked at the 10s.. 1. EV $10 2. La Crique $6 3. Checkmate $14 4. Legarto $4 5. Sterling Express $16 6. Quintessa $6

In a handful of minutes including the play that saw him injured, Narawa franked his selection. If that injury ends up being a difference - that’s such a brutal break for everyone involved. #NZvsSA

Beaudy left foot snap 50/22 fuck me that should go in the first minute of his career highlights. How many Brownlows could that guy have 😂😂

Louis Herman-Watt (@louishwatt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Ardie needs to hold that. They look so much more organised tonight, need to let the attack gain momentum and gas the Boks forwards.

Had to win. Did. Positives: line speed, physicality, found the 6 7 8, organised/cohesive, halfback depth. Negatives: contestable kick tactics/skills. Confusing: Wings, centre, Boks form. Sore frames this week. Now go on the backup the next level for this team. #NZLvRSA
