EM is meant for the catastrophizer personalities out there. Have been cross training people to cover the ER and was asked many times, “how did you know that they were going to need that?” My answer: I look at every patient and say “what is the worst possible scenario here”

Another 🔥 take: There’s an overconfidence in clindamycin and its role in practice. For most indications: A) better options often exist (linezolid) OR B) better questions should be asked (are you REALLY allergic to the primary treatment options?) AND C) resistance a problem
