Interesting that Japan has 1 in 3 >65 yrs and a low number of geriatricians, whereas in UK we have ~1 in 5 >65 and lots more (but still not enough!). Does less geriatricians mean less clinical need? Can we learn from Japan and focus on ageing healthily? JARLife Hidenori Arai

One of the best University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS FT initiatives: Sleep Kits for patients to help promote a good night's sleep (as much as possible!) without the need for short term hypnotic. Such a simple intervention. That and decaff tea which we now offer to patients. Do other Trusts offer similar?
