For 151 years, Louisville has welcomed the world to Louisville on the first Saturday in May for the greatest two minutes in sports. It may be raining, but the sun always shines on our Kentucky home. Who’s your pick for this year’s Kentucky Derby? Good luck!

This morning, our Deputy Mayors came together to pass out meals to the employees who make all of this possible. These employees have been working around the clock so we can welcome visitors into our city, and have the best Derby experience possible.

I was incredibly proud to proclaim May 5th National Foster Care Day in Louisville. It’s an honor to help raise awareness about the amazing children in our foster care system and encourage more people in our city to get involved.

A huge thanks to the first responders who sprung into action this past weekend after the I 65 crash. Public safety is my administration’s number one priority, and our proposed budget includes much needed investments in LMPD , Louisville Fire Dept and Louisville Metro Emergency Services

I love our parks—they’re among the best in America and I believe healthier parks make a healthier city. That’s why we’re exploring the new tennis & pickleball center at Joe Creason Park, where a local nonprofit has proposed improving an existing tennis center and parking lot.

I’m so excited to announce that the renovations are complete and six new pickleball courts and two new tennis courts are officially open here in Fern Creek Park.  As Mayor, I’ve made parks a priority – providing more funding for parks than this community has seen in decades to
