A busy day in the ward with surgery followed by the De Beauvoir Assn ‘Party in the Park’. Because of the rain it ended up in the crypt of St Peter De Beauvoir ☔️but was a fantastic community event with great cake from De Beauvoir WI 🍰 Thank you to Hackney Speaker for attending too. 🙏

Brilliant to visit the newly opened East Southeast Asian Community Centre at the old public washing baths on Englefield Road in #DeBeauvoir. A partnership with Hackney Council with over £2m investment from the council to restore the building and support from the London Gov too.

Busy morning in the ward for Jasmine Martins & I at our monthly Saturday surgery at the Rose Lipman Building & then on to the public engagement session at Blandford Court on the Lockner estate. Positive feedback from residents about proposed design & plan to build 100% social housing!

Proud to see #Gusty looming high over De Beauvoir ward. A brilliant pilot scheme to erect a wind turbine, led by the The Benyon Estate in partnership with Octopus Energy to demonstrate we can use technology to tackle the #ClimateCrisis & power our way to net-zero.

Had an INCREDIBLE time at the Kingsgate Estate Halloween Party, a lovely end to our 'day in the ward' 🌃👻 The hardest part was having to judge the young children's best Halloween costume! So many good outfits. A huge thank you to all the residents who made the event possible ❤️
