Today we were in Bourbon County to continue our Agriculture Education Week celebration. I am so amazed at the intelligence and kindness of Kentucky students.

At Coral Ridge Elementary School in Louisville, we saw students learning about agriculture through Language Arts, Math, Technology, Art and Science. Agriculture and education are the two industries that touch all others in the commonwealth.

Agriculture Education Week 2025 was a huge success. See you in September!

I went home to Mercer County for my final school visits during Agriculture Education Week. We were able to play with goats, a cow and baby chicks. It was cold and wet but the students reminded me that farmers do not take days off!

When you think of Kentucky, you think of basketball, horse racing &, of course, bourbon. Kentucky bourbon is popular world wide & creates revenue & jobs for our families. I visited Beam Suntory and Bardstown Bourbon Company to thank them for being a big part of Team Kentucky.

I know our future is bright when I spend time with our students. Some of our most special students were chosen for this summer's @kentuckygse. They are Kentucky's next crop of creators and leaders. I cannot wait to see how they put their passion to use for the commonwealth.

I went back to London to check on the recovery progress from the tornado in May. Thanks to coordination from federal, state & local governments, along with businesses, non-profits & private citizens, our goal of rebuilding every life & structure is happening faster than expected.
