Hi, I'm Lisa! I'm an #immunoengineer currently on the faculty job market. The Volpatti Lab will combine my training as a AHA Research Postdoc Fellow at UChicago Pritzker Molecular Engineering and PhD at MIT ChemE Dept to engineer cytokine therapies for metabolic diseases.

We need this data. In my PhD, there were no Out faculty in the entire school of engineering, and only three Out faculty across all of STEM at Duke. It’s discouraging when you don’t see or know-of people like you in these top positions, and you wonder why they’re not there.

I have been a mandatory reporter before. It is straightforward. REPORT. The gaslighting described, acting like you’re going to do something but then letting the offender finish the experiment. This is gross and dangerous behavior. The PEOPLE are more important than the work.

If by “immediately” you meant “6 months later, when he finished his manuscript for Nature” If by “support and protect” you meant “suppress, gaslight and traumatize” If by “remove” you meant “write a recommendation for faculty positions” Then I wouldn’t have to say STOP LYING

Everyone I see keeps focusing on the “students” in this tweet but I also don’t like the “and academic researchers”. We ARE the academic researchers. Not a separate group. “Postdoctoral Fellows and Academic Researchers” would not be much better
