Any discussion of the tuition fees system has to recognise that what we in fact have is a bad graduate tax with none of the benefits. Following Osborne's removal of maintenance grant and replacement with loans we have a system which can embed intra-generational inequality.

A huge percentage of patients report a penicillin allergy Most are not actually allergic to penicillin. And it can mean they get substandard care because less effective alternatives to penicillins are used. Vital to "de-label" incorrect penicillin allergy wherever possible.

The longest strike in NHS history begins today. This represents a catastrophic failure of leadership by govt. We want to be treating our patients and not on a picket. Steve Barclay get around the table and make a serious offer to end this. Scotland have done it, why can’t you?

There is a crisis in clinical academia in the UK. We talk of the need to expand medical schools, embed research into the NHS to improve care, & the importance of a vibrant life sciences sector for the economy of the UK, & yet we seem unable to tackle the underlying issues 1/9

This is disastrous, hideous news. NHS England are hacking back the mental health support for hospital staff. One doctor takes their life every three weeks. One nurse takes their life every single week. These numbers will now INCREASE. Victoria Atkins - please do the right thing.
