Let me tell you about Orland High's Luke Schager, who broke the school's 70-year old single-game rushing record in an NSCIF Playoff game last fall. Today, he may well have set a new OHS strikeout record on the mound, fanning 18 Willows hitters in 6 IP. Yep, ALL 18 outs were by K!

Schager's dominance today surged him some 40 spots up the Northern Section WAR leaderboard. He was among the top hitting sophomores in the section last year, but today signaled a huge breakout on the mound. 📈

Confirmed by longtime Orland stat keeper Randy Royce, Luke Schager did break the all-time OHS strikeout record of 16 in a game. That one was set in 1948. Unreal!🤯

Luke Schager went 2 for 3 today with a double. Unfortunately we came up short in the playoff game.
