Today marks the end of Pride Month, and last week I spoke in a Pride Debate to celebrate York Pride š³ļøāš the volunteers that make it happen, and what a fantastic day it is for York! My contribution to the debateš










Haxby Station is a fantastic win for our York community and one of only five national rail projects to receive Government funding today. Iām thrilled the Transport Secretary, Heidi Alexander MP acknowledged my advocacy for this project alongside our Mayor David Skaith over the past year.

Months ago, I called for lifting the alcohol ban in football stands. Iām now working with Amanda Louise Martin to get it right. Today, the Tories threw a gimmick into the Football Governance Bill on this ā a distraction from the real progress Labourās making to fix football for fans.

A month ago, after the Spending Review, I said I was confident this Government would deliver Haxby Station. Under the Tories, the station was unfunded and left in limbo for years. Now, thanks to strong collaboration between David Skaith and me, this The Labour Party Government is making




Last month, I joined a debate on the Theft of Tools of Trade, called by my colleague Amanda Louise Martin. The fact that over 75% of tradespeople have had their tools stolen is shocking, and Iāve heard similar stories from constituents as well. My contribution to the debateš


The previous Conservative Government allowed record levels of toxic sewage to pollute the Foss and the Ouse in York. No more. This Labour Government has banned the payment of unfair bonuses to Yorkshire Water bosses. A message from Labourās Environment Secretary Steve Reed MPš
