This is fucking horrible. Labour is trying to buy off angry MP's by talking about 'softening' their Nazi-style assault on the disabled. theguardian.com/politics/2025/…

He had told them that the cuts to benefits would cause a “cultural change in disabled claimants” Passeri said“When we asked him what he meant, he said ‘People like yourselves, with support, you could go to work.’” A few minutes later, Passeri was lying passed out on the floor

The disabled community’s activism over the past few months has been (and will continue to be!) utterly phenomenal. I’ve been campaigning on disability benefits for 10 years; many I know for 25+. But the way we’re coming together now—OMG. It’s extraordinary.

DWP minister said: ‘People like yourselves, with support, you could go to work.’ A few minutes later, Passeri was lying passed out on the meeting-room floor. “He had no idea what to do with this woman lying on the floor who he had just told to get a job.” disabilitynewsservice.com/shock-of-activ…

As a consultant psychologist, I’ve seen what fear of reassessment does. It doesn’t motivate people. It destabilises them. It makes people stop attending therapy, stop taking meds, stop eating. Cuts don’t save money. They cost lives. We must protect LCWRA. #TakingThePIP

This is absolutely disgusting what makes a DWP Minister think he's got the knowledge of a Doctor? Talking to a Disabled Woman & telling her she could work. Shortly after she passed out & he then ignores her plight. #TakingThePIP

I’d like to think MPs standing by disabled people will not fall for this attempt to placate them by Keir. Giving disabled people who lose benefits time to “apply for others” when there are literally zero alternative benefits for us to claim is just manipulative & an outright lie

Top 10% pay £2k a year towards unemployment benefits and we’re meant to be outraged? That’s the cost of a weekend in the Cotswolds to help someone eat and stay housed. The real outrage is billionaires dodging tax while the poorest are dehumanised for needing help. #TakingThePIP

Scrutinising bank accounts and intermittently zoning in with demands on why someone spent money on something is a known tactic of ‘coercive control’.

DWP set to cut Universal Credit from 66,000 young disabled people - including military veterans You'd think Labour, given it is pandering to the 'patriotic' right wing at present, would not want young veterans to be left destitute. Wrong #TakingThePIP thecanary.co/uk/analysis/20…

How long until the UK reduces the amount of savings disabled people are allowed to have whilst claiming benefits? As Potatum says, the US is reinforcing incomes caps & taking away assistance if their assets exceed $2000. That’s not enough for any emergency/deposit/survival

Anyone supporting the disability benefits cuts will be known as someone who advocated for and supported the deaths of disabled people. We shouldn't sugar-coat the reality... This is what they're supporting.

Can we stop with this bullshit that asylum seekers claim benefits. SICK of saying you can only claim benefits with an NI number, which asylum seekers don’t have. They get £49.18 per week. Sorry but none of you could live on that, so stop pretending these people are living large.

Assisted dying had the 6 months criteria voted to 6-12 months early on, Simon. Much like the safeguards for non-terminal disabilities being voted away, specifically including autism, Down’s syndrome, diabetes & anorexia. Don’t call me a liar when you’re don’t know the basics 🤦🏼‍♀️

No wonder Keir Starmer doesn’t want a wealth tax and wants to pushed disabled people into unsurvivable poverty instead! 🙄
