Year 6 are enjoying team building activities on their residential trip in Kent!

Is anyone scared of heights? 😱 Our Year 6’s sure aren’t! They climbed Jacob’s ladder where you have to work with your partner to help you with each rung either by proposing to them (climbing your knee), Roman handshake or using others ropes for extra support!

Just before half term Year 4 and 6 delivered our biggest ever donation to the @HackneyFoodbank! Our donation came to 174.70kg – slightly more than a baby elephant 🐘 or a large refrigerator. We hope to send more donations to this valuable cause in the new year.

This week pupils and staff have paid their respects during Remembrance activities. Our Year 6-led Remembrance Assembly today was conducted with solemnity and the children were all gripped by Captain Fletcher’s story about the Christmas Day truce.

Last week Year 6 blew us away performing 'Why Wear A Poppy' and 'In Flanders Fields' at Poetry Together. Our pupils were joined by VIP guests, including host Gyles Brandreth, some Chelsea Pensioners and HRH, The Duchess of Cornwall. What a wonderful event! @dukes_education
