๐ Scottish Government's Housing Bill places a stronger emphasis on preventing homelessness through 'ask and act' duties on social landlords and relevant bodies. ๏ธโ๏ธAmendments to the Bill, developed with help from charities like Crisis Scotland will ensure people get the help they need.


๐ It was great to visit Dundee Rugby Club with Councillor Lynne Short and hear about their ambition to transform their premises at Alloway. The club, which also has a site at Mayfield, hopes to create a new purpose-built facility to accommodate their entire operation.

McAlpine Station today for their Open Day. Empty homes are an unacceptable waste. Scottish Government is making ยฃ570,000 available to councils and third sector organisations to support innovative projects tackling privately owned empty homes. This is part of a ยฃ2 million investment through the Scottish Empty Homes Partnership.


Out on the doors for the by-election today in Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse with Alison Thewliss and Cooncilor Shorty to elect our brilliant The SNP candidate Cllr Katy Loudon.



Today we visited Meeting Centres UK Scotland within Royal Victoria Hospital, Dundee, as they were one of the recent beneficiaries of the Tayside Contracts Community Fund. This centre is designed as a drop in facility for people living with dementia. ๐ Fiona Barret, Meeting Centre
