Busy couple of days Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service TWFRS Sports and Welfare Club #InternationalSportsTournament watching the boxing last night, 400m swim complete this morning and now watching the footy 🥊🏊‍♀️⚽️

Last night I was really honoured to receive my 20 year Long Service and Good Conduct medal, after 22 years service (Covid delayed getting it earlier!). I have a lot of people to thank for supporting me throughout my career, some of which shared the night with me ❤️

This time last week I was heading home from the Women in the Fire Service UK Development Weekend! I was fortunate to have been part of the instructor team delivering the multi incident workshop. My role was to mentor those interested in becoming incident commanders! What a bright future the FRS has!

Proud and privileged to be asked to speak at the Pride breakfast yesterday. It’s enormously important that all public sector organisations are inclusive places to work and in the services we provide to our local communities. We have made progress, but there is still work to do 🌈
