Senior Mearns Castle High pupils had a great time at the Financial Management STEM event BBC Scotland today. They enjoyed activities around managing accounts, forecasting, budgeting.

Good luck to all of our senior pupils ahead of their Maths prelims tomorrow, and next week. There is a drop-in session straight after school today for any last minute queries and the Maths Evening Café is open tonight from 6:30pm – 8pm with support for all levels of study.

Miss Mair’s S2 class enjoyed an Equations with Fractions activity today. Each randomly selected playing card corresponded to a different question for them to tackle. Great discussion and collaboration from each group!

S4 collaborated on their revision in Miss Dickson’s class today, shuttling the whiteboards between each other to add the next line of working to the solution. There were fantastic discussions between the pairs, supporting and correcting each other’s work as they went along.
