I don’t disagree but also on the planning side fully understand how insanely expensive it can be to plan a conference. Is there a right type of sponsorship when it comes to helping offset the cost of conferences?

Some of the wildest med mal cases I read are from big prestigious medical centers. Some of the worst experts work at the fanciest academic hospitals.

The whole academic publishing industry is WILD! This doesn't even talk about the fees we are asked to pay to publish in most journals. I wonder what would happen if we all stopped doing their work for free?

I also don’t endorse things but do think this is one of the best and most practical books that I’ve seen in the world of emergency medicine.

I think we may have gotten to a time in healthcare unfortunately where stating “this is a patient safety threat” no longer carries weight it did to drive change given the breadth of everyday threats that exist in the system. 🤦‍♂️😳🤷‍♂️

🚨 Big news: The traditional “oral board” exam is getting a major overhaul. It’s now called the Certifying Exam, and the new format launches in 2026. Naturally, there is a lot of anxiety and confusion about what’s changing and how to prepare. Fear not! 🔥 Coming this Fall EM:RAP
