At the 68th meeting of the UN CND, our new Exec Director Anton Basenko has had the opportunity for several informal meetings to advocate for people who use drugs. Here is just two - including a special moment with a rep from the home country at war he is not currently safe in.

At the CND itself, UNODC organised F2F meeting between NGOs attending & Group of Friends of the HIV Section - friendly member states supporting harm reduction work. The meeting discussed the US funding impacts & plans for a joint side event on harm reduction funding later in 2025
