From the sports medicine perspective, we need to study this and educate where needed... not sit back in conjecture. The game is selecting for the velocity and spin profiles, and guys want to compete. It is our responsibility to support their health while they do so.

The game is evolving, and our understanding of injury needs to evolve as well. If our evidence eventually shows assoc btw spin profile and injury, maybe one day we can have this discussion on risk. Until then, pitchers are the only ones effectively using data. We must keep up.
