Mr. Martin's Strategic Marketing class presented websites they had created that provide social media resources for small businesses to local business and industry leaders. Business leaders offered feedback to the students to help them make their sites even better. #WeAreMG

Yesterday was the final session of Aspiring Argylls, our 6th to 7th grade transition program. 6th Graders from Park Elementary joined the MGJSHS Student Services Team at IWU to complete career interest and team building activities. We welcome the Class of 2031 to MGJSHS! #WeAreMG

Back to School Night is tonight from 5:00-7:00 p.m. We will have 7th Grade & New Student Orientation at 6:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. We look forward to seeing our students again tonight to start "Owning Their Excellence!" First day of school is Wed. - 8:05 a.m. start. #WeAreMG

Congrats to Rosin White-He received an IHSAA Exemplary Behavior Report for his Sportsmanship on Friday night. I appreciate that Rosin always plays hard. I appreciate even more that he does right by the opponent and officials. Congrats also to the two Southwood players. #WeAreMG

Mrs. Saathoff's Art Students have been working hard to prepare their artwork for the James Dean Days Garfield Art Competition. I think we have some pretty good ones. #WeAreMG

Mrs. Manning's 8th Grade Science classes worked on Rube Goldberg projects. Each group worked on their section before combining them together. Very engaging with great creativity and problem solving skills developed. Great job Mrs. Manning and our MGJSHS 8th graders! #WeAreMG

Sat. was a great day to be an Argyll! We had a lot going on-Youth Football, Argyll Tennis Invitational, Argyll Jr. High Volleyball Invitational (Using Both Gyms), We Hosted the Grant 4 Girls Golf Tournament @ Walnut Creek, and Finally, Homecoming Hallway Decorating. #WeAreMG

Mrs. Saathoff's 1st Quarter 7th Grade Art Rotation class is currently working on a clay bobblehead project. Looks like they are enjoying themselves. I look forward to seeing them again when they are painted and finished. #WeAreMG

Congrats to the newest members of the MGJSHS Chapter of the National Honor Society. These students have exhibited the four pillars (Scholarship, Character, Leadership, & Service) of NHS and are worthy of induction into this organization. We are extremely proud of them! #WeAreMG

Several MGJSHS 7th Graders in Ms. Justus' Class participated in a Anti-Vaping Poster Contest sponsored by Marion Health and the Grant Co. Tobacco Coalition. We are proud of our students who participated helping spread an important message to our students and community. #WeAreMG
