MHS SkillsUSA had ten students compete at the Kansas State Championships. Ayla Floresch won 1st in Architectural Drafting; Gabriel McKinley won 2nd in Cabinetmaking; and Teamworks won 2nd. This team was Tucker Callahan, Alec Orgozolka, Aidan Holmes, and Brecken Crist-Funk.

This past week, the Manhattan Forensics team has been competed at the KSHSAA State tournament at Olathe Northwest. At the conclusion of the tournament, we were 4th overall as a team. Of the 16 entries Manhattan brought, 11 went to semifinals and 5 of those 11 advanced to finals.

Last week, MHS Journalism students took to the Kansas Scholastic Press Association State Contest. Our students showed their skills, and we had several top 10 placements. We hope to link the full press release soon. *denotes repeat placers

Congratulations to our Girls Swim & Dive Team for winning the Centennial League Championship last night! Manhattan High had a team score of 465 points with 2nd place following behind with 441 points. We are proud of you!

Manhattan High Tennis secured a Top 5 finish at the state championship in Junction City, earning 13 points for the program’s first top-five placement since 2021. Freshman Jay Hoke placed 7th in singles, while senior Advith Natarajan finished 11th.

Sliding into home for the baseball season, we kick off regionals with MHS vs. Wichita NW. Games will be held at Tointon Family Stadium at 2, 4, & 6pm. Come support our boys! As an added bonus, the Manhattan High Booster Club will be paying for the first 50 students at this game!
