WAYS TO IMPROVE Education 1. Stop viewing our kids as numbers 2. Provide actual consequences for students 3. Kids need physical play/exercise 4. Provide more supports for teachers 5. Provide teachers more prep time 6. Smaller class sizes 7. Increase teacher salaries

And people wonder why #vouchers are sending families to private schools. We need order and consequences brought back into public schools. Elon Musk Donald J. Trump at ANYONE in charge. We still need teachers and coaches. Cant just cancel us out.

We aren’t teaching mental math nearly enough anymore. There was a shift to conceptual math - which is excellent and necessary - but there are some things that simply must be memorized. Math facts are one of them.

The # of teachers who believe their primary goal is to “build relationships” is astounding. We learn this nonsense in our education training of course, but I would hope most see it for what it is after spending any time in a classroom. It has the staying power to learning styles.

If you’re a teacher using your position to indoctrinate instead of educate, you shouldn’t be in the classroom. Students deserve critical thinking, not political programming. That said, most teachers I know are passionate, fair, and far from indoctrinators.

One student can ruin the learning of an entire class That kid deserves and education but so do the other 29 kids in that room Regardless his or her reason, it is simply unjust to let one child daily compromise the education of everyone else
