Today in #WWII history, construction began on K-25, where U-235 and U-238 were separated. It was half a mile long by 1000 feet wide, and the largest building of its time. #TDIH

#WWII history Gen. Leslie Groves was in charge of building the Pentagon, the world's largest building. When he finished it, he was assigned to the Manhattan Project, which required the building K-25, which was even bigger.
