🤝 Soils form an ESSENTIAL foundation for our lives on Earth. 🔎 Gathering such data from the soil is key for soil #soilhealth & #sustainability, which is what FAO Land, Soil and Water is doing with their soil laboratories. ⬇️ Take a look below for more! 🪱 #Soils #SoilScience
The MICROSERVICES consortium has met for the 36M update meeting. Great to see all the interesting results about #ClimateChange and #SoilBiodiversity. One more year to go, time to focus on the dissemination of our findings. Biodiversa+ (European Biodiversity Partnership)
🎉We are happy to announce that our very own partners from ETH Zurich/SAE Group and Leitat / UaB are present at the World Biodiversity Forum in Davos 🇨🇭 👀 There will be a presentation on our project on Thursday! Will you be there? Let us know! 🪱#SoilsScience #Soils #EUProjects
Our very own Elena Kost is presenting her work in the MICROSERVICES project at the miCROPe conference in Vienna. Check her poster and learn more about the impact of drought on the soil and crop microbiome. Funded through the Biodiversa+ (European Biodiversity Partnership) #BiodivClim program
Take a look below to learn the key benefits of soil biodiversity: ➡️Healthy soils ➡️Plant growth ➡️Human health ➡️Water purification ➡️Climate change mitigation & adaptation! 🤝Thanks UN Biodiversity Learn more about our project: 👉microservices.ethz.ch 🪱 #SoilScience
😢 Loss of #biodiversity is one of the top threats to #soil, which could seriously affect our #foodproduction! Thank you UN Biodiversity for a detailed overview! 👉 Learn about #biodiversity in the #microbiome in our project here: microservices.ethz.ch 🪱 #SoilScience
Diversifying grassland management strategies promotes soil biodiversity at the landscape level. doi.org/10.1016/j.apso… Great collaboration between the Grassland Sciences and SAE Group at ETH Zurich. Led by Franziska Richter with @ValentinEcology, Nina Buchmann, Rafaela Conz
We are thrilled to see the first paper published from our drought simulation study in the DOK long-term trial. Led by our very own Elena Kost. Visit our webpage and watch our video to learn more about the MICROSERVICES project: microservices.ethz.ch Biodiversa+ (European Biodiversity Partnership)
🦠🌱Drought can significantly alter soil microbial communities, especially fungi. While organic and conventional systems foster distinct microbiomes, MICROSERVICES (#BiodivClim) shows both systems face similar challenges under severe drought. 👉 doi.org/10.1016/j.ejso…
